Sandra Hill
Alumnus - Grand Canyon University, Arizona (NCAA DI)
Sandra Hill is a remarkable example of an athlete who has achieved great success in her career at Grand Canyon University (GCU). She began her journey with the university in 2018, when she was recruited to play for their NCAA D1 Women’s Soccer team. During her five seasons with the team, Sandra quickly rose to become a leader on and off the field.
On the field, Sandra was an integral part of the team’s success. She was a key contributor to the team’s first-ever run into the NCAA National Tournament rounds. As a defender, she helped lead GCU to several victories and clean sheets throughout her tenure. In addition, she served as co-captain for two seasons and was named to the All-WAC Second Team during her senior year.
Off the field, Sandra was also a leader for GCU’s women’s soccer program. She was known for being an excellent role model for younger players and helping them develop their skills both on and off the pitch. Her leadership extended beyond just soccer as well; she graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Masters Degree in Project Management in 2021.
Sandra Hill is an inspiring example of what hard work and dedication can accomplish. After leaving her home in Australia to pursue soccer at GCU, she worked diligently to become one of the best players in college soccer while also excelling academically. Her story serves as an inspiration to young athletes everywhere that anything is possible if you put your mind to it!
